On November 20, the final evaluation result of the National Outstanding Youth in 2019 has been confirmed, and Professor Chen Rong of School of Energy and Power Engineering, Chongqing University was selected. His project name is "Photofluid Energy Transfer and Transformation", and the project fund has been approved by 4 million yuan.

Chen Rong, teacher of School of Energy and Power Engineering, Chongqing University, doctor, professor, doctoral supervisor; Winner of National Science Fund for Outstanding Youth, young scholar of "Cheungkong Scholars Program", national Science and Technology Innovation leading talent of "Ten Thousand People Program", Young and middle-aged Science and technology innovation leading talent of Innovation Talent Promotion Program, candidate of New Century Outstanding Talent Support Program of Ministry of Education, and winner of Science Fund for Outstanding Youth of Chongqing. He is currently the deputy director of the Youth Working Committee of Heat and Mass Transfer Branch of Chinese Society for Engineering Thermology and a member of the Committee of Key Laboratory of "Low-grade Energy Utilization Technologies and Systems" of the Ministry of Education. He is also the guest editor of two SCI International journals, "International Journal of Green Energy" and "Journal of Energy Engineering-ASCE".As the project or project leader, presided over national and provincial level projects 7, etc. In 2013, he won the second prize of National Natural Science award (ranked 3rd). He is mainly engaged in the research on the key thermophysical problems in the fields of photofluidics, solar photochemical utilization, new energy conversion technology, micro-scale transmission and environmental governance technology.
