In order to create a good scientific research atmosphere, integrate academic resources, and promote the construction of campus academic culture, the Chongqing University Graduate Student Union launched the second academic activity month of Chongqing University. The academic lecture of "Key Laboratory of Low-grade Energy Utilization Technologies and Systems of Ministry of Education Opening Fund Academic Report-Basic Research on Efficient Recovery and Utilization of Internal Combustion Engine Waste Heat" was held at room 303, School of Power Engineering, Chongqing University. The host of this academic lecture is Researcher Sun Kuan from the School of Power Engineering of Chongqing University, and the lecturer is given by associate professor Fu Jianqin from Hunan University. This is also his first time in Chongqing to give lectures. Associate pofessor Fu Jianqin has published more than 100 academic papers, of which more than 40 are included in SCI and more than 50 are included in EI. He has won the second prize of China Automotive Industry Science and Technology Progress Award and the Doctoral Newcomer Award of the Ministry of Education. He currently serves as a reviewer for more than 20 international SCI journals (such as Energy, Applied Energy, Energy Conversation and Management, etc.), and a communications reviewer for the Third Division of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
The host first gave a brief introduction to associate professor Fu Jianqin and the topic of the lecture, and expressed a warm welcome to associate professor Fu Jianqin.
Associate professor Fu Jianqin first introduced today's energy consumption as the background, and introduced that internal combustion engines are the largest consumption of oil and have great energy-saving potential, which can save about 38.5 million tons of oil annually. Associate professor Fu Jianqin started from the theoretical research of the combined thermal cycle combination and summarized three cycle methods: the combined organic Rankine cycle, the steam assisted Brayton cycle and the Brayton-Karina cycle. Subsequently, associate professor Fu Jianqin introduced in detail the influencing mechanism and matching optimization of the new type of combined thermal cycle process of internal combustion engine "waste heat recovery-fuel cracking-modified combustion", and the collaborative optimization of internal combustion engine waste heat recovery bottom cycle process and internal combustion engine working cycle process.
Finally, associate professor Fu Jianqin started from the questions raised by the teachers and students, explained the energy-saving potential of various internal combustion engine waste heat recovery methods and the main influence mechanism of waste heat recovery efficiency, and provided guidance and suggestions for designing internal combustion engine waste heat recovery models.
