博士、教授、博士生导师。2000年和2003年在重庆大学动力工程学院分别获得学士和硕士学位,2007年获得香港科技大学机械工程学博士学位,之后在同一单位继续博士后研究,并在2008-2009年被香港科技大学聘为访问助理教授工作一年。2010年,加入太阳成集团tyc33455cc,2014年晋升为教授。2013年获国家自然科学二等奖(排名第3)1项。主要从事光流体、太阳能光化学利用、新能源转换技术、微尺度传输及环境治理技术中的关键热物理问题等方面的研究。
